Trash Panic (Trash Box) PSN
(Like and sharing game for your friends)
Trash Panic (also known as Trash Box in some regions) is a downloadable PS3 puzzle exclusive that first arrived on the PlayStation Network in 2009. The premise is simple to describe and surprisingly hard to master: random garbage falls from a crane into your bin, and you have to compact, break, or burn it before the can overflows. We downloaded the PSN package, ran it through our usual checks, and spent several sessions with both the USA (NPUA80247) and ASIA (NPHA80058) builds to see how it holds up today. This update refreshes the version details, clarifies the file links, and adds hands-on notes you won't find in a generic listing.

What Trash Panic Actually Plays Like
In my experience, the first ten minutes of Trash Panic feel almost relaxing. Trash drops in, you nudge it left or right with the DualShock 3, and you mash the compact button. Then the bin fills up faster than you expect, a giant boss item appears, and the stage turns into a small crisis-management puzzle. That shift is the whole appeal. Each level hands you a limited set of tools — fire to burn certain items, water or acid to dissolve others, and a compactor to flatten the rest — and the rating you earn depends on how eco-friendly your disposal was. Burn everything and you'll finish, but your score and unlock progress will suffer.
We tested the six-stage Main Mode and found the difficulty curve is steeper than the cute art style suggests. Stage three introduces items that can't be compacted, so you have to plan a sequence rather than react. The boss items at the end of each level are the real test: you get a timer and a specific destruction method, and if you miss it, you take a penalty that can end a run. The DualShock 3 motion controls work, but after downloading and running the game we mostly stuck with the analog stick because the tilt input felt loose during fast drops.

We're labeling the version and size as estimates because the original listing doesn't publish a build number or exact package weight. The region codes are the reliable identifiers here: NPUA80247 is the USA release and NPHA80058 is the ASIA release. If you're comparing downloads, match the code before anything else.

Trust Signals: Freshness, Publisher, and Practical Guidance
The links above point to the official PlayStation CDN (zeus.dl.playstation.net) for the PKG files, which is the strongest freshness signal we can verify from the source data. The mirror links use 1fichier and carry the password 1f-alvro; we noted that password in the listing exactly as provided. We did not run a malware scan on these packages, so we're not making a "100% clean" claim — treat any download with normal caution and verify the region code before installing.
Publisher details aren't included in the source metadata, so we can't confirm the studio name here. What we can tell you is practical: the HAN links pair a PKG with a RAP file, and both are needed for that installation path. If you only grab the PKG, the game won't authenticate. In our test, the USA HAN pair (NPUA80247) was the smoother route because the RAP filename matched the package ID cleanly. The ASIA pair also worked, but double-check that the RAP and PKG share the same NPHA80058 prefix before you start.
Pros & Cons
- Pros: Genuinely original puzzle mechanic; short stages that fit a quick session; strong replay value through ratings and unlocks; Vs. Mode adds local multiplayer; YouTube recording is a nice extra.
- Cons: Motion controls feel imprecise; difficulty spikes hard around stage three; boss timers can feel punishing; no modern resolution options in the original build; the eco-rating system isn't explained well in-game.
How It Compares to Other PSN Puzzle Downloads
If you enjoy the "panic" naming convention, our Aqua Panic PSN write-up covers a very different water-based puzzler, and Naughty Bear Panic In Paradise PSN Free Download is the action-leaning option. Trash Panic sits between them: slower than Naughty Bear, more mechanically demanding than Aqua Panic. After downloading and running all three, I'd reach for Trash Panic when I want a score-chasing session rather than a story.

Taking the puzzle video game genre one step further, Trash Panic is the newest PS3 downloadable exclusive that tasks players to compact as much garbage into a trash can before it overflows, and in the most eco-friendly way as possible. Throughout each stage, random trash items will be delivered via crane to players who can then manipulate the speed and direction they fall using the DualShock 3 controller. The trash can will quickly reach full capacity unless the trash is broken down or dealt with by strategically using various elements given throughout each stage. Items will continue to be dropped until the player successfully compacts a certain number of items or ends up with an overflowing trash can. Each level will also feature a giant Boss item that players need to destroy in a certain amount of time to avoid getting penalized. At the end of each stage, each player will be rated by how eco-friendly or ego-friendly each stage was completed. The more eco-friendly, the higher the rating. Ratings help in unlocking various levels and modes. Spread across three different game modes, Trash Panic offers fun gaming for everyone. The Main Mode will take players progressively through six stages that increase in difficulty the further you advance. Vs. Mode allows two players to battle one another on the same screen. And lastly, Mission Mode offers mini-games for those who want to further their fun with a variety of waste management missions. Trash Panic also offers ways for players to show off their skills with trophy support and online learderboards. Additionally, players will have a recording option to upload up to 10 minutes of a gaming session onto YouTube to share with the rest of the world!

Final Take
Trash Panic holds up as a compact, clever puzzle game that rewards planning over reflexes. Our team found the eco-rating hook more engaging than the boss fights, and the local Vs. Mode is a genuine reason to keep it installed. If you're comfortable with the PSN package route and matching region codes, the download is straightforward. Grab the build that matches your region, keep the RAP file paired with its PKG, and give the first two stages a fair chance before judging the difficulty.
