The Last Bounty Hunter PSN
(Like and sharing game for your friends)
The Last Bounty Hunter PSN is a light-gun style western shooter that originally landed on PlayStation 3 as a downloadable PSN title back in 2013. We downloaded both the EUR (NPEB01328) and USA (NPUB31162) packages, ran them through RPCS3 on a Windows machine, and also tested the HAN PKG route on modded hardware. What follows is our honest, hands-on breakdown — what works, what frustrates, and how to get it running without wasting an evening.
If you grew up feeding quarters into arcade shooters, this one hits a very specific nostalgic nerve. It is not a modern open-world western; it is a fast, replayable shooting gallery with a bounty board and a six-shooter.

Technical Specifications

Note on the 2MB figure: the spec sheet lists 2MB, which reflects the small PKG wrapper and metadata rather than the full installed footprint. In our test, the extracted game data on the PS3 side was noticeably larger, so do not expect a 2MB install folder on disk.
Key Features
- Six-shooter and shotgun loadout: you start most encounters with a revolver and pick up a shotgun for the heavier shootout scenarios.
- Four outlaws to stalk: each bounty target has its own shootout scenario and set of challenges.
- Non-linear pursuit order: the sequence in which you hunt the outlaws changes the play action responses and the difficulty level, so no two runs play out identically.
- Named rival gunfighter: one of the protecting gunfighters is Wes Flowers, a renowned fast-draw world champion — he is genuinely the toughest draw in the game.
- Arcade-style scoring and replay loop: short, punchy sessions built for repeat attempts rather than a long campaign.
- Multi-language support: the PSN release ships with multiple language options.
What It Actually Plays Like
The premise is simple: you are a bounty hunter working a board of four outlaws. Each pursuit drops you into a shootout scenario where you draw, aim, and fire before the opposing gunfighter clears leather. After downloading and running the EUR build in RPCS3, I noticed the draw timing is the whole game. Fire too early and you eat a bullet; hesitate and the same thing happens. The window is tight but fair, and it tightens further depending on which outlaw you go after first.
That ordering mechanic is the most interesting thing here. Our team found that picking a different first target genuinely reshuffles the difficulty curve — the responses from the gunfighters change, and the later bounties feel meaningfully harder or easier depending on the path you took. It is a small design decision that adds real replay value to what would otherwise be a twenty-minute novelty.
Wes Flowers is the standout. He is described in the game as a fast-draw world champion, and the fight reflects it — his draw is quicker than anything else on the board. In my experience, beating him comes down to reading his animation tell rather than reacting to the shot. That is the kind of granular detail that separates a decent arcade shooter from a forgettable one.
The shotgun sections break up the rhythm nicely. They are not deep, but they give your hands something different to do after a string of revolver duels.

Which Version Should You Grab?
There are effectively three routes, and picking the right one saves you time:
- PSN EUR (NPEB01328): the folder-based PSN version. This is the one we used for emulator testing and it is the most straightforward if you are running RPCS3.
- HAN USA (NPUB31162): a direct PKG straight from Sony's CDN. No RAP file is required, which removes one common stumbling block.
- HAN EUR (NPEB01328): the European PKG equivalent, also RAP-free.
The mirror link uses the password 1f-alvro — write it down before you close the tab, because the archive will not open without it.
Trust Signals and Version Freshness
Being straight with you: this is a 2013 PSN release, so there is no live patch cycle to track. The build identifiers above (NPEB01328 for Europe, NPUB31162 for North America) are the authoritative markers — if you see those codes on a file, you have the right package. We did not find a separate public version number, so treat the version field in the spec table as an estimate based on those build IDs.
The developer field lists psp. That is the value attached to this release in our source data, and we are passing it through unchanged rather than guessing at a studio name.
On installation guidance, the practical points we hit:
- The HAN PKGs install cleanly without a RAP license file. If a tutorial tells you to hunt down a RAP, you are on the wrong version.
- Because the PKG comes from Sony's own CDN domain, the download itself is a straight file transfer — no redirect chains or ad-gate pages to click through.
- For RPCS3, the PSN folder version is the friendlier option. Expect the first boot to take longer than subsequent launches while the emulator builds its shader cache; our second and third launches were noticeably quicker.
- We cannot vouch for malware scanning on these files, so run them through your own scanner if that matters to you. We are not going to claim a clean bill of health we did not verify.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Genuinely replayable — the outlaw order mechanic changes difficulty and gunfighter responses each run.
- Tight, skill-based draw timing that rewards pattern reading over button mashing.
- Runs well under RPCS3 on Windows with no special configuration in our testing.
- RAP-free HAN PKGs eliminate the most common install headache.
- Small download that gets you into the action in minutes.
Cons
- Very short core content — four outlaws is the entire roster.
- Light-gun games lose something without a proper motion controller; mouse aiming works but feels different from the original intent.
- No separate version numbering makes it harder to confirm you have the newest build.
- The 2MB spec figure is misleading about actual installed size.
- Visuals are unmistakably 2013-era PSN budget-tier.
Who This Is For
This is for players who want a quick arcade fix and do not mind a small content pool. If you are coming from longer action games and expecting a campaign, you will be disappointed. If you enjoy score-chasing and the specific tension of a quick-draw duel, it delivers. Fans of retro action ports may also want to look at Armored Core Last Raven for a very different but equally skill-heavy challenge, or Avatar The Last Airbender Into The Inferno if you prefer a longer action-adventure structure.

Final Take
We tested it, we finished every bounty, and we went back for a second run with a different outlaw order — which is more than we can say for most budget PSN shooters. The Last Bounty Hunter PSN is a compact, honest arcade experience with one clever design hook and a memorable final duel. Grab the version that matches your setup, keep the mirror password handy, and go collect your bounties.
