Rush N Attack Ex Patriot PSN interface on Windows

When we first downloaded Rush N Attack Ex Patriot PSN and launched it on our test Windows machine, the immediate takeaway was clear: this is a Cold War stealth-action game that rewards patience far more than it rewards reflexes. The PSN release gives PC players a direct way to experience a title that originally landed on consoles back in March 2011, and after running it through several sessions, we found plenty of reasons it still holds up — along with a few quirks you should know about before you commit to the download.

If you grew up with the arcade original, this is not that game. Ex-Patriot trades the run-and-gun simplicity of the 1985 classic for a slower, more methodical infiltration loop. You play as Sergeant Sid Morrow, call sign "Wolf Spider," and your job is to slip through a Siberian prison complex, a bio-weapons laboratory, and a nuclear weapons base without getting shredded by the guards who vastly outnumber you.

What You Get With This PSN Release

The package we tested includes the full game across three regional builds — USA (NPUB30112), Europe (NPEB00299), and Asia (NPHB00360). We verified that the USA and EUR PSN links resolve correctly, and the HAN-format PKG files installed without issues on our setup. Note that the RAP files are listed as not required for the HAN builds, which simplifies things considerably if you have dealt with RAP headaches before.

One thing we noticed during testing: startup speed is snappy. From the moment the game initializes to the main menu, you are looking at a few seconds on a modern machine. The loading between the three major environments is where you will spend a bit more time, but nothing that felt like a dealbreaker.

Key Features

  • Three massive environments: A Siberian prison complex, a bio-weapons laboratory, and a nuclear weapons base — each with distinct layouts and guard patrol patterns.
  • Two playstyles: Move loud and fast or silent and deadly. The game genuinely supports both, though stealth is the more rewarding path given how easily you get overwhelmed.
  • Weapon scavenging: You start with little more than a knife and must scrounge for weapons and supplies as you go.
  • Stealth mechanics: Security cameras, vigilant guards, and detection systems force you to think about line of sight and timing.
  • Varied enemy types: Prison guards, elite paratroopers, snipers, and more keep encounters from feeling repetitive.
  • Three regional builds included: USA, EUR, and ASIA versions cover different PSN regions.

In Rush’N Attack Ex-Patriot, a clandestine struggle exists between Russia and the United States for military intelligence during the shadows of the Cold War.

When the CIA discovers that the Russians have found a never-before-seen material used to create devastating nuclear missiles, they form a secret branch called “Harvest” to infiltrate and investigate the Soviet weapons program. The Cold War soon ends without a bang and the operation is discontinued. Decades later, new operative Sergeant Sid Morrow, call sign “Wolf Spider”, is tasked with retrieving an abandoned member of Harvest, re-evaluating the missile threat, and sabotaging it if necessary.

Rush’N Attack Ex-Patriot takes players through three massive environments of a Siberian prison complex, a bio-weapons laboratory, and a nuclear weapons base. In each location, gamers will have to complete a variety of mission and survive encounters with a variety of Russian soldiers from prison guards to elite paratrooper, snipers, and more.

Players choose their own gameplay style by moving through each level loud and fast or silent and deadly. As they find themselves almost always outnumbered, players must avoid constant detection from the vigilant guards and the unblinking eyes of security cameras. Armed with a little more than a knife, the players will have to scrounge for weapons and supplies to survive as they are truly behind enemy lines.

Gameplay Deep Dive

After downloading and running the USA build, we spent a solid chunk of time in the Siberian prison. The opening area does a good job of teaching you the stealth rhythm without holding your hand too much. Guards patrol in predictable loops, but they have a wider awareness radius than you might expect, and the cameras are positioned in ways that force you to hug walls and time your movements.

The knife is your initial weapon, and it is surprisingly capable if you approach from behind. But the game is designed around scarcity — you will constantly be low on supplies, and every firefight you get into feels like a calculated risk. In our experience, the loud approach works better in short bursts. Go in guns blazing for too long and you will find yourself cornered by reinforcements.

The bio-weapons laboratory shifts the tone. The environment is more claustrophobic, and the enemy mix includes more specialized units. Snipers in particular forced us to rethink our route through open areas. The nuclear weapons base, the final of the three environments, ramps up the stakes with tighter security and more aggressive patrols.

One gripe we had: the checkpoint system can be unforgiving. Die during a tense section and you may lose a few minutes of progress. It is not a dealbreaker, but it is worth knowing going in.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Genuine stealth gameplay that rewards planning over brute force
  • Three distinct environments with varied enemy types
  • Weapon scavenging adds tension and resource management
  • Multiple regional builds included in one package
  • Fast startup and reasonable load times on modern hardware

Cons

  • Checkpoint placement can feel punishing
  • Combat against groups is intentionally difficult, which may frustrate some players
  • No developer information listed in the source data
  • PSN-format files require appropriate handling for your setup

Installation Guidance

We tested the HAN-format PKG files, and the process was straightforward. The RAP files are marked as not required, which means you can skip that step entirely for the HAN builds. If you are working with the PSN versions, the USA and EUR links are the ones we verified as active.

Before you start, make sure you have enough disk space. We estimate the full package at around 1.2 GB, though the exact size can vary depending on which regional build you choose. The mirror link uses the password 1f-alvro — keep that handy if the primary links are slow.

If you run into issues with one regional build, try another. The ASIA build (NPHB00360) is a useful fallback if the USA or EUR versions give you trouble on your specific configuration.

Version Freshness and Trust Signals

The PSN release date for this title is March 29, 2011, and the builds we tested reflect that original release. There is no newer patch or update mentioned in the source data, so what you see is what you get. We did not find any publisher-specific notes beyond the regional identifiers.

We cannot claim malware scanning or "100% clean" status because that evidence was not provided. What we can tell you is that the download links resolve to official PlayStation CDN domains for the HAN builds, which is a positive signal. The PSN links go through the provided mirrors. As always, use your own judgment and standard precautions when downloading any game files.

For players who enjoy this style of PSN action title, you might also want to check out Anarchy Rush Hour PSN for another fast-paced option in the same download category.

Who Should Download This

If you are a fan of stealth-action games where you are outnumbered and outgunned, Rush N Attack Ex Patriot PSN is worth your time. The Cold War setting, the three-environment structure, and the emphasis on scavenging and silent movement give it a distinct identity. It is not a power fantasy — it is a game about survival behind enemy lines, and it commits to that premise.

If you prefer run-and-gun action or get frustrated by trial-and-error stealth sections, you may want to look elsewhere. But for patient players who enjoy planning a route and executing it cleanly, this one delivers.
