Gameplay Overview

In Port Royale 3 Gold, players will embark on an epic adventure through the Caribbean during the turbulent 17th Century where the naval powers of Spain, England, France and the Netherlands fight for supremacy throughout the colonies. Take on the role of a young captain trying to build his fortune and reputation in the new world where three expansive campaigns offer three different paths for the young protagonist to follow: adventurer, trader and pirate.

We spent several hours with the trader campaign and found the economic depth impressive. You'll need to manage supply and demand, set up trade routes, and protect your ships from pirates. The pirate campaign flips the script, letting you raid settlements and capture ships. The adventurer path focuses on exploration and questing.

Installation Notes

After downloading and running the installer, we noticed it requires a minimum of Windows 7 and around 5 GB of free space.
