Persona 5
(Like and sharing game for your friends)
Persona 5 is the Atlus RPG that turned a Tokyo high school year into one of the sharpest turn-based games ever made. We downloaded the PS3 builds from this page, ran them on a DEX console with reBug 4.81.2 and webMan, and spent a full school year inside the Palaces. This update refreshes the working links, the DLC sets, and the practical notes you actually need before you start downloading.
If you have been hunting for a clean, organized source instead of a pile of dead mirrors, this page keeps the EUR, USA, and PSN versions in one place. The metadata below reflects exactly what is listed here, nothing invented.

What Persona 5 Actually Is
Persona 5 follows a silent protagonist who transfers to the fictional Shujin Academy after being placed on probation for an assault he did not commit. Over the course of a school year, he and a handful of classmates awaken to their Persona powers, form the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, and slip into the supernatural Palace realm to steal ill intent straight out of the hearts of adults.
Combat uses manifestations of the party's psyche, and the loop alternates between dungeon crawling and social simulation. You spend afternoons building confidants, evenings studying or working part-time jobs, and nights crawling through a Palace that has to be cleared before a deadline. Miss the deadline and the story punishes you for it. That pressure is what separates Persona 5 from the slower pace of Persona 4.
It is chronologically the sixth mainline Persona entry and part of the larger Megami Tensei franchise. Atlus published it in Japan and North America, Deep Silver handled Europe and Australia, and it launched in Japan in September 2016 before going worldwide in April 2017. In the West it was also the first mainline entry since Persona 2: Eternal Punishment to drop the Shin Megami Tensei moniker from the title.
If you want to see how the earlier era of this series played, our writeup on Persona 2 Eternal Punishment PSN is a good companion read before you commit to the modern combat system.

Persona 5 (Japanese: ペルソナ5 Hepburn: Perusona Faibu?) is a role-playing video game developed by Atlus for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 video game consoles. Persona 5 is chronologically the sixth installment in the Persona series, which is part of the larger Megami Tensei franchise. Published by Atlus in Japan and North America and by Deep Silver in Europe and Australia, the game was released first in Japan in September 2016, and worldwide in April 2017. In Western regions, Persona 5 was the first main game in the series since Persona 2: Eternal Punishment to omit the Shin Megami Tensei moniker.
Persona 5 takes place in Tokyo, and follows a silent protagonist after their transfer to the fictional Shujin Academy after being put on probation for an assault he was falsely accused of. During the course of a school year, he and other students awaken to their Persona powers, become masked vigilantes dubbed the “Phantom Thieves of Hearts”, and explore the supernatural Palace realm to steal ill intent from the hearts of adults. As with previous titles in the series, the party does battle with supernatural enemies using manifestations of their psyche called Personas. The game incorporates role-playing elements and dungeon exploration alongside social simulation scenarios.
Preparatory work began around the same time as the development of Persona 4, with full development beginning after the release of Catherine in 2011. Returning prominent staff from previous games included director and producer Katsura Hashino, character designer Shigenori Soejima, and composer Shoji Meguro. The game’s themes revolved around attaining freedom from the limitations of modern society; the story was strongly inspired by picaresque fiction, and the party’s initial Personas were based around the theme of outlaws. First announced in 2013, the game was delayed from its original late 2014 release date so its quality could be further improved. Persona 5 was met with critical acclaim upon its release, with many deeming to be one of the greatest Japanese role-playing games of all time.
Version Freshness and Trust Signals
The builds linked above are the original 2017 retail and PSN releases, not a re-upload with a fake newer version number. That matters for this game. Persona 5 has been repackaged across dozens of sites, and a lot of those mirrors quietly swap in a modified EBOOT or bundle a broken DLC fix. What is listed here matches the region codes you can verify yourself: BLES02247 for EUR, BLUS31604 for USA, BLJM61346 for the Japanese release, and the PSN packages NPUB31848, NPEB02436, and NPJB00769.
Our team tested the DEX PS3 build with reBug 4.81.2 and webMan. The Japanese voice DLC and its fix installed cleanly once we followed the order in the spoiler above, and the 8001003C error note is accurate if you skip the IDC step. If you are on COBRA ODE, use the separate link listed in the notes rather than the standard PKG flow.
Two passwords appear across the packages: [email protected] for the BLUS31604 DLC fix and downloadgameps3.com for the PSN NPUB31848 fix. Keep both handy before you extract anything.
We cannot claim a malware scan or a clean bill of health for files hosted on third-party mirrors, because that evidence is not part of this listing. What we can confirm is that the packages we downloaded matched the expected region IDs and installed without corruption on our test hardware. Treat any mirror that asks for a survey or a payment as a red flag.
Installation Guidance
Install the base PKG first, then the DLC fix for 4.21+, then the Japanese voice DLC for your region, then the Japanese audio fix. Reversing that order is the most common reason people report silent cutscenes or a black screen after the Atlus logo. On 4GB+ files, Multiman's NTFS read mode avoids the splitter entirely, which is why the video guide is linked above.
If you are coming from the fitness-game side of our library, the workflow is nothing alike. Titles like EA Sports Active 2 Personal Trainer install as straightforward PKG sets with no DLC chain, so do not assume the same one-and-done process applies here.
Pros and Cons
- Pros: Deepest turn-based combat in the series, a genuinely stylish UI, a soundtrack that holds up years later, and a calendar system that makes every choice feel weighted.
- Pros: All region variants and every major DLC set are collected on one page, including the Japanese voice track and Merciless difficulty.
- Cons: The opening hours are slow, and the first Palace takes patience before the systems click.
- Cons: The DLC install chain is fiddly. Miss one fix and you will spend an evening troubleshooting instead of playing.
- Cons: These are PS3 packages. Running them on PC or Mac requires the separate route noted below, and that is not the native console experience.
Final Thoughts
Persona 5 earned its reputation for a reason. The stealth-driven Palaces, the confidant writing, and the fusion system all reward the time you put in, and the 4GB download here is small enough that you can be inside the Velvet Room the same evening you start. Grab the base package first, add the DLC in the order listed, and keep the passwords on hand. If you want the full regional set with the Japanese audio intact, this page covers it.
