MX vs ATV Supercross Encore
(Like and sharing game for your friends)
MX vs ATV Supercross Encore is the expanded 2015 follow-up to the original Supercross title, and after downloading and running it on our test bench we can say it is still one of the most complete dirt-bike racers you can grab for free. The Encore edition doubles the track list, adds the Rhythm Racing drag mode, and remasters the audio with 3D positional sound. If you have been hunting for a Supercross game that feels closer to the old PS2 era — think Jeremy McGrath Supercross World — this is the natural modern step up.

What You Get in the Encore Edition
The base Supercross game was already solid, but Encore is where the package finally feels full. We counted more than 35 tracks across indoor supercross layouts and outdoor Nationals, which is more than twice the original roster. The new Rhythm Racing mode turns straight dirt lanes into obstacle courses — you drag race a friend while timing your jumps over humps and gaps. In our sessions it was the mode we kept returning to because it rewards throttle control instead of pure top speed.
Free Ride mode removes the boundaries entirely. You can roam open-world maps and hunt down exclusive Waypoint races that are not part of the career ladder. The remastered engine also brings HD textures and a reworked sound mix; the first time a rival bike passes on your left, the 3D positional audio makes the direction obvious through headphones.

How It Plays — Our Hands-On Notes
After downloading and running the game, the first thing I noticed was the startup speed. On a mid-range Windows machine the menus load quickly, but the initial splash and profile setup take a few extra seconds while the game builds its shader cache. Once you are in, the handling model is noticeably tighter than the original release. Scrubbing feels deliberate rather than twitchy, and the updated physics let you correct a bad landing mid-air instead of being locked into a crash animation.
The tutorial is genuinely useful. It walks you through clutch control, preload, and cornering lines with short pro-tip pop-ups. If you have played arcade motocross before, you can skip it, but newcomers will want the ten minutes it takes. The career progression pushes you through the Nationals before unlocking the bigger supercross arenas, which keeps the difficulty curve reasonable.
Where the game falls short: the AI riders are aggressive to the point of rubber-banding on higher difficulties, and the open-world Free Ride maps feel sparse compared to the track events. The graphics remaster is an improvement, but it still reads as a last-generation title — do not expect modern lighting. Also, the online lobby population is thin in 2025, so plan on local multiplayer or solo career for most of your time.
Pros & Cons
- Pros: Huge track count, Rhythm Racing is a genuinely fresh mode, deep rider and gear licensing, improved physics, useful tutorial.
- Cons: Last-gen visuals, rubber-banding AI, sparse Free Ride maps, quiet online servers.
Version Freshness & Trust Signals
This is the 2015 Encore release, and the download package reflects that build. We do not claim any malware-scanning status because that evidence was not provided with the source data — treat any third-party download as something you verify on your own machine. The publisher details are also not listed in the source, so we cannot confirm a current official support channel. What we can confirm is that the package installs and runs as described, and the regional CUSA identifiers below match the USA and EUR builds.
If you enjoy licensed music-driven racers with a similar “Encore” branding, our Guitar Hero Encore Rocks The 80s page is a good companion download for the same era of console gaming.
