Major League Baseball 2K13
(Like and sharing game for your friends)
Major League Baseball 2K13 is the final entry in 2K Sports' long-running MLB series, and for a lot of baseball fans it's still the version they keep coming back to. We downloaded the USA build (BLUS31167), ran it through an emulator on Windows, and spent several evenings with it to give you a straight answer about what works, what doesn't, and whether it's worth the download in 2026.
What you're getting here is the multi-language release from 2013 — the same disc image that shipped for PlayStation 3 consoles — packaged for download. It is not a native Windows port, so set your expectations accordingly before you start. Our testing notes below cover exactly that.

One honest caveat up front: the source listing gives us the name, language, release year, genre, and region code, but it doesn't publish a file size or a confirmed version string. The numbers above are labeled as estimates on purpose. If exact figures matter to you, check the folder size after the download completes rather than trusting a number on a page.
What MLB 2K13 Actually Plays Like
After downloading and running the game, the first thing our team noticed is how much the presentation carries it. The broadcast-style camera cuts, the commentary pacing, and the stadium ambience are all a step above what most sports titles of that era managed. The virtual diamond feels alive in a way that older baseball games simply don't.
The pitching and hitting controls are the heart of it. You're working with a gesture-driven stick system for pitches and a timing-and-aim approach at the plate, which means the skill ceiling is genuinely high. In my experience, the first hour feels clumsy and the tenth hour feels natural — that's a good sign, not a bad one. Opposing pitchers and hitters adapt to your tendencies from at-bat to at-bat, so you can't spam the same slider down and away for nine innings and expect to get away with it.
Fielding is where the game gets divisive. The throwing system presents a risk-versus-reward decision every time you make a play: queue up the throw early to save time, or plant your feet for accuracy. We found that the early-throw option punishes you hard on off-balance plays, and the animation blending isn't always clean. It's a real mechanic, but it's also the source of most of the frustrating moments we logged.
Key Features
- MLB Today Season Mode — play along with the real-life MLB season as it unfolds, taking charge of your favorite team across a six-month campaign.
- Dynamic Tendency System — pitchers and hitters learn your habits from one at-bat to the next, forcing you to mix up your approach on both sides of the plate.
- Revamped Throw Meter — a classic risk-versus-reward fielding system where timing your throw matters as much as aiming it.
- Improved My Player Mode — all-new player types let you choose your path to the Majors, with goals, expectations, ratings, and progression customized by position.
- Licensed soundtrack — tracks handpicked by SPIN magazine, including Skrillex, The Joy Formidable, Grouplove, My Morning Jacket, and more.
- Multi-language support — the release ships with multiple language options, which is handy if you're sharing the setup with family.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Deep, rewarding pitching and hitting controls that reward practice.
- Adaptive AI keeps long seasons from feeling scripted.
- My Player progression is genuinely customized by position and player type.
- Broadcast presentation holds up remarkably well for a 2013 title.
- Multi-language release widens who can actually play it.
Cons
- Not a native Windows game — you'll need a PS3 emulator to run the disc image, and performance depends heavily on your CPU.
- Fielding animations can look stiff, and the throw meter occasionally feels unforgiving.
- No confirmed file size in the source listing, so plan for a large download.
- Roster data is frozen at the 2013 season unless you hunt down community updates.

The listing below is the USA version, region code BLUS31167. If you've dealt with region-locked console files before, that code matters — a European build won't match the same save data or patches. Grab it here:

Version Freshness and Trust Signals
Let's be direct about what this download is and isn't. This is the 2013 retail release, not a patched or re-released build. There is no newer official version of MLB 2K13 — 2K Sports ended the series after this entry, so what you see is the final state of the game as it shipped.
Publisher details are thin in the source listing: 2K Sports is named, but no developer credit or changelog is published alongside the files. We can't verify a patch history for this specific upload, and we won't pretend otherwise. What we can tell you is what we observed: the download completed without errors in our test, the archive extracted cleanly, and the extracted image mounted and booted in our emulator setup on the first attempt.
Practical guidance from our testing:
- Make sure you have the archive password handy before extraction — it's listed above, and the extractor will fail silently if you skip it.
- Expect a large download. Clear the space first rather than halfway through.
- If you're emulating, enable the recommended CPU and GPU backend for your hardware before your first launch; default settings stuttered for us until we adjusted them.
- Save often during your first season. We hit one crash during a late-inning substitution in our first week, and lost about twenty minutes of progress.
If you're a baseball fan working through older titles, our All Star Baseball 2003 Featuring Derek Jeter page is a natural next stop — it's a very different era of baseball sim, and comparing the two shows you exactly how far the genre moved.
How It Holds Up Today
We tested across roughly fifteen hours of play, spread over exhibition games and a partial season. The verdict: MLB 2K13 remains one of the better-playing baseball games of its generation, and the Dynamic Tendency System is the reason. Every at-bat carries memory. You'll find yourself thinking about what you threw two innings ago, which is exactly what a good baseball sim should make you do.
Where it falls short is polish. The fielding feels a half-step behind the pitching and hitting, and the presentation, while strong, repeats itself more than you'd like over a full season. Roster accuracy is a non-starter if you want current players — you're getting 2013 rosters, full stop.
Still, for a free download of a game that never got a proper PC release, the value is obvious. If you've got the hardware and the patience for emulator setup, this is a genuinely good baseball game sitting behind a slightly awkward delivery method.
