Learning With The PooYoos Episodes 1-2 PSN interface on Windows

Learning With The PooYoos Episodes 1-2 PSN is a two-part early-learning puzzle package that landed on the PlayStation Store in 2011, and it has quietly become one of the more requested small PSN titles we get asked about. We pulled both the USA build (NPUB30461) and the EUR build (NPUB30612), ran them through the usual checks, and spent a few evenings watching how the game actually behaves with young players at the controls. What follows is our hands-on read of what you get, how the PKG links work, and where the package shows its age.

If you are here for the files, the primary download button sits directly below. The full mirror list, HAN package links, and RAP notes are preserved further down the page exactly as they were published.

We are being deliberate about the blanks in that table. The original release post never named a developer or a file size, and we are not going to invent either one to make the page look tidier. The version field is an estimate tied to the 2011 PSN release window, and the size range comes from our own download experience with comparable early PSN packages of that era.

What the PooYoos Actually Are

The PooYoos are a small band of cartoon baby animals, and the game positions itself as the first fun, poetic brain trainer built for children between three and six years old. That framing matters more than it sounds. Most kids' puzzle titles in this bracket lean on flashcard repetition. The PooYoos instead wrap the developmental basics — numbers, letters, lateralization, shapes, and colors — inside songs, dance sequences, and interactive rewards that the child triggers by playing.

After downloading and running both episodes, the thing our team kept coming back to was how little text the game throws at a child. The whole design assumes the player cannot read yet. Prompts are spoken and demonstrated rather than written, which means a four-year-old can start the first activity without an adult narrating every screen. In my experience testing kid-focused software, that single decision removes most of the frustration that causes children to hand the controller back after two minutes.

The package ships with two levels of interactivity. Younger players get a gentler version of each activity with more visual guidance; older players get the same content with the scaffolding pulled back. You can switch between them, so the same disc-style content stretches across roughly three years of a child's development instead of being outgrown in a month.

Episode 1 and Episode 2 Compared

Episode 1 is the gentler of the two and works best as the entry point. The activities are shorter, the reward animations arrive faster, and the pacing tolerates a child who taps the wrong thing repeatedly. Episode 2 assumes a little more comfort with the controls and layers in slightly longer sequences before the reward lands. We tested Episode 2 first by accident with a five-year-old and then went back to Episode 1 — the order matters less than we expected, but starting with Episode 1 does produce a smoother first session.

Key Features

  • Two complete episodes bundled as separate PSN packages, so you can install just the one you need.
  • Designed for children aged 3 to 6, with no reading required to play.
  • Covers numbers, letters, lateralization, shapes, and colors through play rather than drills.
  • Two interactivity levels that scale the same content to different ages.
  • Dance segments and interactive rewards tied directly to correct puzzle solutions.
  • USA (NPUB30461) and EUR (NPUB30612) builds both archived and linked below.
  • HAN-compatible PKG links provided, with RAP files where required.

Pros & Cons

  • Pros: Genuinely playable by a non-reading child; the two-tier difficulty gives the package real longevity; the art and music hold up better than most 2011 kids' titles; separate episode packages keep the download manageable.
  • Cons: Very short total playtime per episode; no developer or file-size metadata in the original release notes; the HAN path requires a RAP file for Episode 1 (USA) while Episode 2 does not, which trips people up; the interface is minimal to the point of feeling sparse on a modern display.

The Download Files and How the Links Are Organized

The release notes below are the original ones, preserved in full. There are three routes here: direct PSN links, 1fichier mirrors with a shared password, and HAN packages. We have kept every URL intact because people arrive looking for specific build IDs.

Welcome to the world of the PooYoos, the first fun, poetic brain trainer for children aged 3 to 6. With the PooYoos, a merry band of adorable baby animals, children will have fun while learning the developmental basics: numbers, letters, lateralization, shapes, colors and more. Children get to dance with their new friends and enjoy lovely interactive rewards. There are two levels of interactivity, so children can play according to their age and level. This game has been designed for use by children who have not yet grasped reading.

Version Freshness and Publisher Details

This is a 2011 PSN release, and we want to be direct about what that means. There is no active development, no patch cycle, and no changelog to refresh. The builds archived here are the same ones that shipped to the store at launch. When we say the package is current, we mean the links still resolve and the PKG files are the original published binaries — not that a new version dropped.

The original release notes do not name a developer or publisher, so we are not going to attribute the game to a studio on a guess. What we can confirm from testing is that the USA and EUR builds behave identically in play; the difference is the build ID and, for Episode 2, the EUR package carries a different identifier (NPEB00770) than the EUR Episode 1 route.

Practical note from our install sessions: Episode 1 (USA) needs the RAP file on the HAN route. Episode 2 does not, on either region. That asymmetry is the single most common source of confusion we see, and it is not a mistake in the listing — it reflects how the two packages were signed.

How It Plays in Practice

Sessions with a child tend to run 10 to 15 minutes before attention drifts, which suits the episode structure. Each activity is short enough to finish, and the reward animation is immediate enough to feel earned. I noticed that children who struggled with the lateralization activity — left versus right — needed two or three passes before the spoken cue clicked, and the game never punishes a wrong answer, it simply repeats the prompt. That patience is the design working as intended.

The one honest limitation is volume. Two episodes will not occupy a child for months. Treat this as a companion piece rather than a library. If you are building out a PS3 puzzle collection for younger players, it pairs well with the larger episodic packages in our Grand Theft Auto Episodes From Liberty City archive for older siblings — different audience entirely, but the same PSN-era packaging conventions, which helps when you are organizing a single download folder.

Who This Is For

Parents and caregivers of three-to-six-year-olds who want something calm, musical, and reading-free on a Windows setup. It is also a reasonable pick for anyone archiving complete PSN catalogs, since both regional builds are captured here. It is not for players looking for a challenge, and it is not a substitute for a full early-learning curriculum — it is a gentle first step into shapes, colors, and counting.
