InFamous First Light
(Like and sharing game for your friends)
InFamous First Light is the standalone expansion that turns Fetch Walker from a supporting character in Second Son into the lead of her own neon-soaked revenge story. We downloaded both the EUR (CUSA00897) and USA (CUSA00575) builds, ran them through the usual emulator and transfer setups, and spent several evenings with the campaign to see whether this shorter, punchier chapter holds up on its own. It does, and in a few places it actually plays tighter than the main game.
The package on this page includes the base game build at version 1.04 plus the DLC bundle, with voice tracks in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, and Turkish. Menus and subtitles cover an even wider set of languages. If you have been hunting for a clean, well-labeled download with both regional variants in one place, this is the one we keep coming back to.

One quick note on the version label: the game will report itself as v1.00 inside the PS4 system information screen even after you apply the update. That is expected behavior and not a broken install. Open the "Update History" entry and you will see 1.04 listed there. We mention this because it trips up a lot of people the first time, and it is the single most common question we get about this particular release.
What Makes First Light Different From Second Son
Where Second Son gave you four power sets to juggle, First Light commits to one. Fetch runs on neon and nothing else, and the designers built the entire sandbox around that constraint. The result is a movement system that feels faster and more fluid than anything Delsin could do. Neon dash chains let you sprint up the side of a building, vault across a rooftop, and drop into a fight without ever touching the ground. After about an hour with it, our team found that going back to the main game felt sluggish by comparison.
The story is a prequel, set two years before the events of Second Son. Fetch is in Curdun Cay, the concrete detention facility run by Brooke Augustine, and the campaign unfolds partly as interrogation flashbacks. You see how she got her powers, how her brother Brent was caught up in it, and how the drug trade that ruined her neighborhood pushed her toward the person she becomes. It is a leaner narrative than the main game, roughly four to five hours if you push straight through, but the emotional beats land harder because the cast is smaller and the stakes are personal.
Combat leans on neon grenades, a rapid-fire neon beam, and a focused heavy shot that charges while you aim. The melee finishers are where the game shines. Every takedown is punctuated by a burst of pink and purple light, and the sound design sells the impact in a way that stays satisfying even after the hundredth enemy. If you enjoy the traversal and combat loop of the InFamous series but found the open-world checklist a bit bloated, this is the trimmed-down version you probably wanted.
Key Features
- Standalone campaign: No copy of Second Son required. First Light installs and runs entirely on its own.
- Neon-only power set: Dash, hover, beam, grenade, and charged shot all built around a single element, which keeps the controls focused.
- Battle Arena mode: A separate challenge mode with wave-based combat, leaderboard scoring, and unlockable neon skins for Fetch.
- Photo mode: A full suite of camera controls, filters, and focal length adjustments. We spent an embarrassing amount of time in this.
- Multi-language audio and subtitles: Nine voice tracks and a broader subtitle list, all selectable from the options menu.
- Dual region builds: Both EUR (CUSA00897) and USA (CUSA00575) packages are included so you can match your own region.
- Collectible neon graffiti: Scattered tags across Seattle that unlock concept art and backstory entries.

Both regional builds are listed below. Pick the one that matches your setup. The EUR package includes the base game at v1.04 and the DLC, and the USA package splits the base game and the 1.04 update into separate files. Mirror options include 1File, Mega, MediaFire, Akia, and Viking, so if one host is slow you can switch without losing progress.
EUR build (CUSA00897): Base game v1.04 plus DLC, password hako.
USA build (CUSA00575): Base game, update 1.04, and DLC as separate downloads, password downloadgames3.com.

How the Game Plays in Practice
Seattle in First Light is a condensed version of the map from Second Son, focused on the downtown and waterfront districts. That smaller footprint works in its favor. You are never more than a short dash away from something to do, and the side content is spaced tightly enough that you can clear a district in a single sitting. The neon graffiti collectibles are the standout side activity because each one unlocks a short text entry that fleshes out Fetch's history. We ended up hunting all of them before finishing the main story, which is rare for us.
The enemy variety is the weakest part of the package. You fight DUP soldiers, turrets, and a handful of heavy units, and after the first two hours you have seen essentially all of them. The Battle Arena mode compensates somewhat by mixing modifiers and enemy compositions, but if you are looking for deep combat variety, this is not the game that delivers it. What it does deliver is a tight, responsive power fantasy that respects your time.
Performance-wise, the game ran smoothly for us on a standard setup with no crashes across roughly twelve hours of combined play. Load times between districts were short, and the frame rate held steady during the busiest arena waves. We did notice that the initial install takes noticeably longer than the file size would suggest, so plan for a longer wait than you might expect.
Pros & Cons
- Pros: Fast, fluid neon traversal that outclasses the main game's movement.
- Pros: A focused, personal story that gives Fetch real depth.
- Pros: Battle Arena adds genuine replay value with leaderboard chasing.
- Pros: Both EUR and USA builds included with multiple working mirrors.
- Pros: Photo mode is surprisingly robust for a 2014 release.
- Cons: Only one power set, so combat variety runs thin by the end.
- Cons: Campaign is short at roughly four to five hours.
- Cons: Version label mismatch (v1.00 vs 1.04) confuses first-time installers.
- Cons: Enemy types repeat early and often.
Version Freshness and Installation Guidance
The 1.04 update is the most recent build we have on file for this title, and it is the one we recommend using. It resolves several stability issues present in the launch version and fixes a progression bug in the graffiti collectible tracking that could otherwise leave you stuck at 98 percent completion. If you install the base game without the update, you may hit that bug. Apply 1.04 first, then start a new save.
For the EUR package, the update is already baked into the single file, so you only need to transfer one item. For the USA package, install the base game first, then apply the 1.04 update file, then the DLC. Order matters here. We tested installing the DLC before the update and the game failed to recognize the extra content until we reinstalled in the correct sequence.
When you are setting up your transfer tool, the guide linked in the download section walks through the process step by step. If you are also collecting older titles for your library, our write-up on Arc The Lad Twilight of The Spirits covers a very different era of PlayStation packaging and is worth a look for comparison. For a modern detective-style narrative with similar pacing to First Light's flashback structure, the Agatha Christie Hercule Poirot The First Cases page is another solid pick.
Who Should Download This
If you played Second Son and wanted more Fetch, this is an easy recommendation. If you never played Second Son, First Light still works as an entry point because it is a prequel and the story stands alone. The shorter length makes it a good palate cleanser between longer games, and the Battle Arena gives you a reason to keep the install around after the credits roll.
Skip it if you need a forty-hour open world or deep combat build variety. This is a focused, four-to-five-hour experience with one power set and one protagonist, and it does not pretend otherwise. In our experience, that focus is exactly what makes it worth the download.
