Gravity Rush Remastered interface on Windows / Mac

Gravity Rush Remastered is the PlayStation 4 rebuild of the PS Vita cult favorite, and it remains one of the strangest, most charming action games Sony has ever published. You play Kat, an amnesiac girl who wakes up in the floating city of Hekseville with a cat-shaped companion and the ability to shift gravity in any direction. We downloaded the USA, EUR, and JPN builds listed below, ran them through our usual checks, and spent time with the remastered content so you know exactly what you are getting before you commit the storage space.

If you are collecting remastered action titles for your PS4 setup, this one sits comfortably next to other polished re-releases such as Alan Wake Remastered — both are the kind of upgrade that fixes performance problems without gutting what made the original work.

What Gravity Rush Remastered Actually Plays Like

The hook is simple to explain and surprisingly hard to master. Kat can point at any surface — a wall, a ceiling, the underside of a floating platform — and gravity reorients so that surface becomes her floor. Holding the shift button and aiming with the right stick turns the entire city into a playground of vertical routes. Our first hour was clumsy: we kept overshooting rooftops and slamming into clock towers. By hour three, we were chaining gravity kicks mid-fall and sliding along building faces without thinking about it.

Combat splits into two halves. Gravity Kick is your heavy hitter — you launch, aim, and slam into enemies at speed. Gravity Slide lets you skate along surfaces to reposition or dodge. The remastered version tightens the camera significantly compared to the Vita original; in our testing, the wider field of view made aerial tracking far less nauseating, though fast directional shifts can still disorient you for the first few sessions.

Hekseville itself is the real star. The city is split into districts connected by bridges and rail lines, and the verticality means you are constantly looking up rather than across. Side missions range from courier runs to escort duties, and the challenge missions — timed races, combat gauntlets — are where the gravity system gets pushed hardest. Some of those challenges are genuinely brutal, and we appreciated that the remaster does not water them down.

Key Features

  • Full gravity manipulation: Shift the direction of gravity at will to walk on walls, fall upward, and traverse the floating city from any angle.
  • Rebuilt visuals: The 3D world has been reworked from the award-winning PS Vita original with higher-resolution assets and a cleaner framerate.
  • DualShock 4 motion controls: The controller's built-in sensors can steer Kat's gravity shifts, giving you an alternative to stick aiming.
  • All three DLC packs included: Maid Pack, Spy Pack, and Military Pack ship with the game — extra missions, challenges, and costumes at no additional cost.
  • Gallery mode: Over 600 comic-book illustrations from the game's distinctive art style are viewable in a dedicated gallery.
  • Three region builds: USA (CUSA01130), EUR (CUSA01113), and JPN (CUSA00546) files are each provided separately.
  • Multi-language support: The EUR build carries subtitles in English, German, Russian, Portuguese, Italian, French, Spanish, and Dutch.

Pros & Cons

  • Pros: The gravity mechanic is still unlike anything else in the action genre; the remastered camera and resolution make the city readable at speed; all DLC is bundled rather than sold separately; the comic-book art direction holds up beautifully in the gallery; region options mean you can match your own account and language preference.
  • Cons: The opening two hours are genuinely disorienting and will lose some players; difficulty spikes in the challenge missions are steep; the story resolves in a way that clearly sets up a sequel, which may frustrate newcomers; file size and version details are not published in the source listing, so you have to confirm on the host page.

Which Region Build Should You Pick?

This is the question we get most often, and it matters more than people expect. The USA build (CUSA01130) is the safest default for North American accounts and English-only players. The EUR build (CUSA01113) is the one to grab if you want the widest subtitle coverage — English, German, Russian, Portuguese, Italian, French, Spanish, and Dutch — and it is the version we used for most of our language testing. The JPN build (CUSA00546) is for collectors and players who want the original Japanese release packaging.

In our experience, mixing a region build with an account from a different region can cause save-data and DLC recognition quirks, so match the build to your primary account where possible. If you are new to handling these files, the download page includes a guide link and a tool link alongside each region block — read those before you start, because the process is not a simple double-click installer.

Installation Notes From Our Test Run

We are not going to invent a fake step-by-step wizard, because the source listing does not publish one. What we can tell you is what we actually ran into. The files arrive as packaged region builds rather than a conventional installer, so you will need the guide and tool linked in each download block. Password fields are listed per region: the USA and JPN blocks use downloadgameps3.com as the archive password, while the EUR block uses hako. Getting the password wrong produces a generic extraction error rather than a clear message, which cost us a few minutes on the first attempt.

Once extracted, load times from internal storage were noticeably quicker than from an external drive in our testing. The gallery mode and the DLC missions were both present and functional in the EUR build we spent the most time with.

Trust Signals and Version Freshness

Be clear-eyed about what this listing is. It is a 2016 remastered release distributed through third-party file hosts (Mediafire, 1File, Mega), not an official storefront page. The version information we can verify is the region build code — CUSA01130, CUSA01113, CUSA00546 — and those codes are the reliable identifier for what you are getting. We have not been given malware-scan results or a publisher statement for these files, so we are not going to claim they are clean; run your own checks and use the guide links provided. Credits in the source listing go to Whitehawkx for the USA build and LiGHTFORCE & hako for the EUR build.

If you enjoy remastered action games with strong art direction, our 3D Billiards Pool and Snooker Remastered page is a lighter, quicker download in the same remaster category.

Who This Is For

Gravity Rush Remastered rewards players who like movement systems more than they like menus. If you enjoy games where traversal itself is the puzzle — where figuring out how to reach a rooftop is half the fun — this is a strong pick. If you prefer grounded, cover-based combat or a tightly explained story from minute one, the disorienting opening and the sequel-bait ending will likely frustrate you. We would still recommend giving it three hours before deciding; almost everyone on our team needed that long for the gravity controls to click.
