What Is Grand Theft Auto 3?
Grand Theft Auto 3 is a third-person action game set in Liberty City, a fictional American metropolis split into three islands: Portland, Staunton Island, and Shoreside Vale. You play a silent protagonist betrayed during a bank robbery and left for dead. The story follows your climb through the criminal underworld, taking orders from mob bosses, crooked cops, and street gangs while you rob, steal, and kill to stay alive.
The game is widely remembered for its fully 3-D living city, a combination of narrative-driven missions and non-linear gameplay, and a completely open environment. For the first time in the series, players were placed at the heart of their own gangster movie and let loose in a fully realized 3-dimensional city. That design choice is why GTA 3 is still cited as a landmark release in interactive entertainment.
The cast of characters runs into the hundreds. You get more than 50 vehicles, ranging from sports cars to ice cream trucks, and from boats to buses. The soundtrack spans roughly 3 hours of music across opera, reggae, house, drum and bass, pop, and disco. A huge array of street-ready weapons rounds out the sandbox, and the seedier characters in video game history fill out the mission structure. Grand Theft Auto 3 is a sprawling epic that shows you that sometimes crime can pay, and sometimes it can pay you back.

GTAF00001 [PS2toPS4] (Grand Theft Auto 3 Forelli Redemption)
LIBERTY CITY, USA. WELCOME TO AMERICA’S WORST CITY.
You’ve been betrayed and left for dead. Now you’re taking revenge, unless the city gets you first. Mob bosses need a favor, crooked cops need help and street gangs want you dead. You’ll have to rob, steal and kill just to stay out of serious trouble. Anything can happen out here.
Featuring a fully 3-D living city, a combination of narrative driven and non-linear gameplay and a completely open environment, Grand Theft Auto III represents a huge leap forward in interactive entertainment. For the first time, players are put at the heart of their very own gangster movie, and let loose in a fully-realised 3 dimensional city, in which anything can happen and probably will.
With a cast of hundreds, 50 plus vehicles, ranging from sports cars to ice cream trucks and from boats to buses, 3 hours of music, including opera, reggae, house, drum and bass, pop and disco, a huge array of street ready weapons and some of the seediest characters in video game history, Grand Theft Auto 3 is a sprawling epic which will show you that sometimes, crime can pay and sometimes it can pay you back.
What's Included in This Package
This 5Gb download is built around the SLUS20062 USA release of Grand Theft Auto III, converted for PS4 via the PS2toPS4 process. The main package includes the base game plus Update 1.02. Languages in the base release cover English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
The Seasons mod package splits the content across three discs: Disc 1 is GTA III, Disc 2 is the GTA III Winter Mod, and Disc 3 is GTA Forelli Redemption. To change discs, hold the PS button and pick the disc with the game, then press the circle button. The English and Latino versions of the Seasons mod are packaged separately, so pick the one that matches your preferred language.
GTA III and the GTA III Winter Mod have a known conflict with save data. If you have progress in GTA III and want to play the Winter Mod, you need to use the Apollo tool for save progress, then delete the saves, and after that boot the Winter Mod. Plan for that step before switching between the two.
The Winter Mod also ships with a car-handling fix. Before you sit in a car during gameplay, enter this code: R1, L1, R2, L1, D-pad Left, R1, R1, Triangle. To activate snow, use L1, L2, R1, R2, R2, R1, L2, Circle.
The standalone Winter Mod release (SLUS20059) includes the same performance fixes and adds a PS2toPS3 conversion as a bonus. The Forelli Redemption release (GTAF00001) is available through Mediafire, Mega, and 1File, and the download password is DLPSGAME.COM.
Performance Patches and Cheat Codes
Every conversion in this package has performance fixes applied. You get widescreen support, no interlace, infinite run, and 60fps patches. The 60fps mode is turned off by default. The reason is practical: cutscenes can have some syncing issues at higher frame rates, so the recommendation is to enable 60fps only during gameplay. You can turn it on with L1 plus D-pad Up and turn it off with L1 plus D-pad Down.
Cheat shortcuts are included across all games in the package:
- Infinite Health: Select plus D-pad Up
- Infinite Run: Select plus D-pad Down
- Infinite Ammo: Select plus D-pad Left
- Infinite Cash: Select plus D-pad Right
- 60fps toggle: L1 plus D-pad Up for on, L1 plus D-pad Down for off (recommended during gameplay only)
If you want to play as a random NPC in the Winter Mod, enter D-pad Right, D-pad Down, D-pad Left, D-pad Up, L1, L2, D-pad Up, D-pad Left, D-pad Down, D-pad Right. A full button-code reference image is linked inside the Winter Mod download block.
Pros & Cons
- Pros: The full original game plus multiple mods in one 5Gb package. Widescreen, no-interlace, and 60fps patches are already applied. Cheat shortcuts save time. Multiple language options across the base game and mod releases.
- Cons: The 60fps mode can cause cutscene sync issues, so you have to toggle it manually. GTA III and the Winter Mod share a save conflict that requires the Apollo tool and a save wipe. The Winter Mod has a car-handling bug that needs a cheat code to fix. This is an experimental PS2toPS4 conversion, not an official Rockstar release.
Trust Signals and Installation Guidance
The package is a community conversion dated to 2015, so treat the version label as an estimate rather than a formal release number. The base game is the SLUS20062 USA build, and the Definitive Edition is offered as a separate link. Publisher details for the original game belong to Rockstar Games; the conversion and mods are fan-made and carry no official support.
Before you install, check that your setup matches the Windows / Mac operating system listed in the specs table. The download password for the Forelli Redemption release is DLPSGAME.COM. Each download block on this page includes its own guide-download and tool-download links, so follow those for the extraction and installation process specific to each package. If you enjoy open-world driving games with a similar era and feel, the Auto Modellista page is a natural next stop, and Auto Destruct covers another action-driving classic.
Who This Is For
This download suits players who want the original Grand Theft Auto 3 experience with modern display fixes, and players who want to explore fan expansions like the Winter Mod, the Seasons mod, and Forelli Redemption without hunting down each piece separately. If you prefer the official remaster, the Definitive Edition link at the top of the download section points to a separate package. If you want the PS2-era version with community patches, the SLUS20062 conversion is the one to grab.
