Doodle Devil PSN
(Like and sharing game for your friends)
Doodle Devil PSN is the pocket-sized puzzle game where you stop playing the hero and start playing the troublemaker. We pulled the PSN package, dropped it into RPCS3 on a Windows machine, and spent several evenings combining elements to see how far the dark side actually goes. What follows is our hands-on breakdown of what the game does well, where it stumbles, and exactly which files you need to get it running.
If you enjoy the devil-themed catalog, you may also want to look at Devil May Cry 2 for a very different kind of demon-slaying experience.

What Doodle Devil Actually Is
While Doodle God was busy assembling the universe, Doodle Devil was having its own kind of fun. The premise flips the original formula: instead of building life, you are building mischief. You start with a handful of base elements — fire, earth, wind, air — and drag them onto each other to discover new combinations. Merge fire and earth and you get lava; push further and you are producing demons, beasts, zombies, and a long chain of increasingly questionable creations.
The hook that separates this entry from its sibling is the sin system. Seven deadly sins act as progression milestones, and each one you uncover opens up new combination branches. In our playthrough, the first hour was mostly experimentation — some combinations clicked instantly, others took a dozen guesses. That trial-and-error loop is the whole game, and it is either exactly your thing or it is not.
The game leans on the same addictive puzzle gameplay that made Doodle God a hit, but the evil twist gives every discovery a slightly mischievous payoff. Watching the world crumble at your fingertips is the reward, and the doodle-style art keeps the tone light even when the subject matter is not.
Key Features
- Element-combination puzzle system built on fire, earth, wind, and air
- Seven deadly sins used as progression gates and discovery milestones
- Hundreds of discoverable creations, from demons and beasts to zombies
- Simple drag-and-drop interface that works with a mouse or touch input
- Multi-language support across the PSN build
- Very small footprint — the package is only 2MB
- Runs on Windows through the RPCS3 emulator, with an iOS-oriented build also referenced
Our Hands-On Experience
After downloading and running the USA package, the first thing I noticed was how fast it all moves. There is no long boot sequence, no shader compilation stall like you get with heavier PS3 titles — the game loads almost instantly in RPCS3. For a puzzle game, that matters more than you would expect, because you will be closing and reopening sessions constantly to test new combination ideas.
The interface is deliberately minimal. Elements sit in a grid, you drag one onto another, and a short animation plays if the combination works. Our team found the drag detection slightly finicky with a mouse at first — the hitboxes on smaller element icons are tight, so you may need to aim carefully. Once you adjust, it becomes second nature. On a touchscreen it feels more natural, which lines up with the iOS build mentioned in the metadata.
Where the game genuinely shines is the discovery pacing. The early combinations are intuitive enough that you feel smart, and the later ones require real lateral thinking. I kept a notepad open for failed combinations, and by the end it was a mess of crossed-out ideas — that is the sign of a puzzle game doing its job.
Where it falls short: there is no hint system that we could find, and some combinations rely on wordplay rather than logic, which can feel unfair when you are stuck. There is also very little replay value once you have unlocked everything. This is a short, sharp experience, not a long-term commitment.
Pros & Cons
- Pros: Instant load times, tiny 2MB download, genuinely clever combination chains, charming doodle art, multi-language support, low hardware demands.
- Cons: No hint system, some solutions depend on wordplay, limited replay value after full completion, tight drag hitboxes with a mouse.

Combine fire, earth, wind & air to create demons, beasts, zombies and much more!
Version Freshness and Publisher Details
This is a 2016 PSN release, so there is no rolling update cycle to track. The package you download today is the same package that shipped on the store — there are no patches layered on top. That is actually good news for compatibility: what worked in our test rig last month will work identically next year.
The developer field lists psp, and the game sits in the puzzle category under a free license. Because the build is region-split, make sure the RAP file matches the PKG you install. Mixing a USA PKG with a EUR RAP is the single most common reason people report the game failing to launch. We tested both pairings individually and each worked when matched correctly.
On installation guidance: the PKG files install through the standard package installer on a modified console, or through RPCS3's Install Packages option on PC. Place the RAP file in the emulator's dev_hdd0/home/00000001/exdata folder before launching. If you are coming from a heavier title and want something with more combat, Army of Two The Devils Cartel is a solid change of pace.
Embrace Your Dark Side
While Doodle God was creating the universe, Doodle Devil was also having some fun. The same addictive puzzle gameplay that made Doodle God a hit is back, but with an evil twist. Discover the seven deadly sins and watch as the world crumbles at your fingertips as you create thousands of dastardly deeds. Combine fire, earth, wind, and air to create demons, beasts, zombies, and much more!
If you have played Doodle God, you will recognize the rhythm immediately — and the darker palette is more than cosmetic. The sin-gated progression forces you to think about combinations differently, because unlocking a sin often requires a specific chain rather than a single lucky merge. In my experience, that structure makes the second half of the game noticeably harder than the first, and it is where most players will either fall in love or bounce off.
For a 2MB package, the amount of content packed in is genuinely surprising. You are not getting a sprawling adventure, but you are getting a complete, polished puzzle loop that respects your time.
Final Verdict
Doodle Devil PSN is a small game that punches above its file size. The combination system is satisfying, the sin-based progression adds real structure, and the RPCS3 experience on Windows is smooth enough that we never hit a crash or a stutter during testing. The lack of hints and the wordplay-dependent solutions are real frustrations, but they are the kind of frustrations puzzle fans tend to forgive.
If you want a quick, clever distraction that loads in seconds and costs you almost no disk space, grab the matching PKG and RAP pair below and start combining.
