Ball X Pit
(Like and sharing game for your friends)
Ball X Pit (stylized BALL x PIT) is a fast-paced fantasy roguelite built around a simple, addictive idea: heroes dive into a bottomless pit of monsters, and the only way to survive is to find the right balls. This page covers the PS5 release of the game, including the USA region package, language support, and the download links you need to get started.
The pitch is easy to grasp. Ballbylon has fallen after a meteoric, entirely unexpected event wiped the great city off the map. What remains is a yawning pit full of treasure and barbaric creatures. Treasure hunters from across the world descend into the tomb to claim what is left of Ballbylon's scattered riches, and very few come back out.
You play as one of those hunters. Armed with a growing arsenal of magic-infused projectiles, you batter your way through layered levels of increasingly difficult obstacles, collect the ultimate prizes, and rebuild New Ballbylon from the ground up.

Key Features
- Ball Fusion system: Equip and combine over 60 randomized balls during a run. The game rewards explosive experimentation, and hundreds of possible outcomes mean you can stumble onto overpowered combinations and unexpected synergies.
- New Ballbylon base building: Expand your settlement with more than 70 unique buildings. Each one grants gameplay bonuses, unlocks further power-ups, or introduces new characters.
- Automated hero tasks: As your community grows, you can assign homebound heroes to automated tasks so resources keep flowing while you push deeper into the pit.
- Multiple realms: Fight through barren deserts, frozen caverns, savage forests, and other regions. Every area adds its own set of hazards on top of hordes of tougher enemies.
- Screen-filling bosses: Each region caps off with mighty bosses that take up most of the display and demand real positioning and timing.
- Recruitable hunters: Fellow treasure hunters you meet in the pit can join your expedition. Each character has unique, upgradable mechanics that change how you play.
- Roguelite structure: Death sends you back, but progress in New Ballbylon and unlocked characters carry forward, so each run builds toward the next.
Gameplay and Story
The loop in Ball X Pit is tight. You drop into the pit, clear rooms of creatures with your projectile arsenal, gather resources, and return to New Ballbylon to spend what you earned. The Ball Fusion system sits at the center of that loop. Because the balls are randomized, you cannot simply memorize one perfect build and repeat it forever. You read what the run gives you, fuse accordingly, and adapt.
That adaptation carries into the roster. Characters have their own upgradable mechanics, so switching hunters is not a cosmetic choice; it changes your approach to the pit entirely. Experimentation and adaptation are the two skills that matter most if you want New Ballbylon to succeed.
The regions add variety without breaking the rhythm. A frozen cavern plays differently from a savage forest, and each one layers its own hazards onto the enemy waves. Bosses scale up accordingly, and the later encounters fill the screen with threats that punish sloppy movement.
If you enjoy ball-driven arcade action with a roguelite shell, the older Akira Psycho Ball release on this site is a fun point of comparison, though Ball X Pit sits firmly in the modern roguelite camp.
Pros & Cons
- Pros: Deep fusion system with over 60 balls and hundreds of combinations; substantial base-building with 70+ buildings; multiple distinct regions and large bosses; recruitable characters with unique mechanics; broad language support across 17 screen languages.
- Cons: Randomized balls mean some runs hand you weaker options; the base-building layer adds menu time between dives; the USA package requires firmware 4.xx and higher, so older consoles need a backport path.

Version Freshness and Installation Guidance
The files listed here are built around game version v01.301.000. Two of the three package sets ship as backports for firmware 4.xx and higher, and the third is a separate FPKG build with the backport already folded into the base. The dump was produced with SDK 11.xx, and a separated backport folder is included in the dump set. The FPKG build also includes the separated original files PKG as an optional extra.
Before you install, check your console firmware. If you are on 4.xx or above, the backported packages should be the right fit. If you prefer a single-package route, the FPKG version keeps the backport on the base and leaves the original files as an optional install. The dump and FPKG listings were shared by Deckerr97 and vincentoz85, with Pippo26442999 providing the FPKG packaging and the test reference.
Screen languages in this release cover Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), English, French (France), German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Spanish, Spanish (Mexico), Thai, Turkish, and Ukrainian. The package password is DLPSGAME.COM.
If you want a different flavor of sports and arcade action while this downloads, 2MD VR Football Head 2 Head Edition and AFL Live 2004 Aussie Rules Football are both available on the site.
