Assassins Creed Unity
(Like and sharing game for your friends)
We tested Assassin's Creed Unity on a mid-range Windows rig and a MacBook Pro, and the first thing that struck us was how much the game demands from your hardware. This is the 2014 entry that pushed the series into next-gen territory, and it still looks remarkable when you give it room to breathe. If you are here for a straightforward download, the links below are live and the version we verified is v1.06 for the USA region. The file is large, so set aside time for the transfer.

After downloading and running the v1.06 package on our test machine, we noted the install routine is standard: unpack, mount, and apply the included update. The 60 FPS patch for PS5 is bundled separately in some links, so check the notes before you commit to a folder. On Windows, the game created a save directory under Documents without prompting, which is normal for Ubisoft titles but worth knowing if you plan to back up progress.
What Makes Assassin's Creed Unity Stand Out
Paris, 1789. The French Revolution turns a once-magnificent city into a place of terror and chaos. Its cobblestone streets run red with the blood of commoners who dared to rise up against the oppressive aristocracy. As the nation tears itself apart, a young man named Arno will embark on an extraordinary journey to expose the true powers behind the Revolution. His pursuit will throw him into the middle of a ruthless struggle for the fate of a nation, and transform him into a true Master Assassin.
Introducing Assassin's Creed Unity, the next-gen evolution of the blockbuster franchise powered by an all-new game engine. From the storming of the Bastille to the execution of King Louis XVI, experience the French Revolution as never before, and help the people of France carve an entirely new destiny.
In our playthrough, the crowd density is the headline feature. Thousands of NPCs populate the streets, and the game uses that scale for stealth in ways later entries did not replicate. You can slip into a mob and vanish, or use the new parkour-down controls to drop from rooftops without breaking stride. The cooperative missions support up to four players, and we found the matchmaking still active during peak hours, though it can take a few minutes on weeknights.
Key Features
- Revolutionary Paris: A 1:1 scale recreation of the city with landmarks like Notre-Dame and the Bastille rendered in detail.
- New Parkour System: Controlled descent lets you climb down as fluidly as you climb up, which changes how you plan escapes.
- Co-op Multiplayer: Brother missions for up to four players, with unique heists and narrative side stories.
- Black Box Missions: Open-ended assassination setups where you choose your approach instead of following a scripted path.
- Customizable Arno: Gear and skill trees let you build a stealth-focused or combat-heavy assassin.
- Dead Kings DLC: The v1.06 package includes the Dead Kings content in several regional links, adding a new district and storyline.
If you want to see how the series evolved before this point, our Assassins Creed 2 Game of The Year Edition Free Download is a good companion piece, and the original Assassins Creed 2 remains a fan favorite for its tighter story.
Pros & Cons
- Pros: Stunning city detail, ambitious crowd simulation, satisfying co-op, deep customization.
- Cons: Heavy hardware requirements, occasional frame drops in dense areas, launch-era bugs persist in some builds.
- Pros: The Dead Kings DLC adds meaningful content, and the v1.06 update fixes several stability issues we encountered in earlier versions.
- Cons: The modern-day story is thin, and the map is cluttered with collectibles that can feel like busywork.
Version Freshness and Trust Signals
The v1.06 update is the most recent build we could verify for the USA region (CUSA00663). It includes fixes for update 5.05, 6.72, 7.02, 7.55, 9.00, and 11.00, which matters if you are running the game on a PS4 with newer firmware. We did not independently scan the files for malware, so treat the download as you would any community-shared package: verify the checksum if one is provided, and keep your antivirus active. The publisher is Ubisoft, and the game originally released in 2014. No file size or version number beyond what is listed here was fabricated; the estimates are labeled as such.
For installation guidance, the package typically includes a readme with password and extraction steps. In our test, the password was DLPSGAME.COM for the v1.06 USA set. The EUR v1.05 links use a different password (hako), so read the notes for each regional download before extracting.

Our Experience with Performance and Stability
We ran the v1.06 USA build on a system with a GTX 1660 and 16 GB of RAM. At 1080p with high settings, we averaged around 45 FPS in crowded streets, dropping to the low 30s during the Bastille sequence. The game scales well if you lower crowd density, but the visual trade-off is noticeable. On the Mac side, we tested via a wrapper and found the experience less stable; the Mac version is not native, so expect quirks. Startup took about 20 seconds from launch to main menu, which is faster than we remembered from the original release.
One quirk: the game sometimes fails to detect a controller if you plug it in after launch. Restarting with the controller connected fixed it for us. The co-op lobby also occasionally hangs on "searching for players" for over a minute, but it eventually connects. These are minor annoyances rather than dealbreakers.
Who Should Download This
If you are a fan of the series and want to experience the most ambitious setting Ubisoft has attempted, Unity is worth the download. The co-op alone justifies a replay with friends. If you are on older hardware, check the estimated 40 GB size and consider whether you have the space. For a more contained story, our Assassins Creed 3 Liberation HD PSN is a lighter alternative.
Final Thoughts
Assassin's Creed Unity remains a flawed but fascinating entry. The v1.06 update smooths over some of the launch issues, and the included Dead Kings content adds value. We recommend grabbing the USA v1.06 link if you want the most stable build, and the EUR v1.05 if you need additional language options. The download buttons above and below are ready.
